I work in a school in an affluent area. Compared to some nearby schools, we’re considered “lucky” that behaviour isn’t extreme, but the constant low-level disruption takes its toll. It’s difficult to make lessons engaging when children talk over you, ignore basic rules 1/2

@ICT_MrP Thank you for verbalising what many of us think. Pay 50p above the minimum wage, no scope for progression within the school. Yes, we do it because we love children, but please don’t gaslight us with a wage that would keep a roof over our heads, let alone food on the table.
