@DinaBelenkaya True empathy is one of the most powerful emotions. It’s a form of love to feel someone else’s pain the way it’s clear you did with Danya from your interview with him about the accusations. Time will heal, Dina. You were a huge comfort to him in his pain. Remember his laughter…xx
@Rakpenguin63@BBCNews What she said is consistent with her Strava data. She started walking a while before the drive. And after the drive which finished at the control, she was very slow and missed the correct route over the next stage. Consistent with being a space cadet at the finish.
@Nine2Fiver22 @BBCNews What she said seems entirely consistent with the Strava data. Walked a fair distance before seeing a friend and accepted a lift to the next checkpoint. Then continued, super slowly, taking a bunch of wrong turns onwards.
@DonnaBradshawCo@DeadEyeP_@sfh300@Peston@ONS Right, higher costs move the suppliers’ price volume curves up. They won’t provide goods unless profitable for them. Then their competitor’s supply shortages due to bad weather, lack of capacity investment during covid, labour shortages etc, mean they can charge more, so they do.
@DeadEyeP_@sfh300@Peston@ONS Prices are arrived at by supply and demand. Prices go up because supply goes down or demand goes up. On this occasion it’s supply side.
@JonquilLucy@Peston@Telegraph What’s wrong with that?
Looks like Cummings wanted government to clarify who counted as medically vulnerable in response to questions from the public.
@ledredman @Peston Recruitment, complaints procedures and officer termination policies all need urgent, robust review, without an activist spin. Concrete changes in policy that are supported on both sides of the culture wars. There’s loads that both sides agree on here.
@SpadermanXX @themouthmatusow@GmanPoker No. He usually laughs when the poker goddess of fate has her wicked way with him. This was different. She is losing to some bluffs. His reaction was born from the thought that went through his head “No one calls there unless they, illicitly, know my hand.”
@_asdasd2 @themouthmatusow@GmanPoker I don’t know if she cheated or not. But having J3 in the previous hand is a “little evidence” that might mean she misremembered her hand - not 100% proof. Secondly, the particular run out doesn’t change that J4 is a call v GMans hand but not his range.
@sykes_kelvin@Peston Where the government has a virtual monopoly on a employing a particular role, there is a large power imbalance in setting wages. Unionisation and the possibility of strike action is necessary to maintain balanced negotiations.
@Liv_Boeree Hypothesis: Tate, who has connections to law enforcement in Romania by his own admission, was tipped off of imminent raid. He then decides to troll Greta to let him spin the arrest as “The Matrix finally got me.” and distract from the trafficking allegations.
@datsun05@johnredwood To be fair it’s not just Brexit. It’s also hugely reduced net exports from the Far East. But his claim that it is demand driven is utterly nonsensical when you look at how lead times have been increasing for the last 4 years.
@CoopsPine@johnredwood He’s dripping with confirmation bias and his own agenda. It’s so simple to check too. It’s takes a few seconds to look up new car order lead times now and a few years ago. A few years ago you’d walk into a dealer and drive off. Now it’s 4 months. He’s either a liar or stupid.
