Pete and Chasten Buttigieg were "swatted" by an anonymous person who called CPS and fabricated a story about Pete was committing violent crimes against his children.
The police eventually concluded the report was completely false and politically motivated, but not before the Buttigieg's 4-year-old twins were separated from their dads for a full day and put through a forensic interview.
This is exactly why the right-wing demonization of LGBTQ+ people and their families is so dangerous. This political attack weaponized the child welfare system against a family and traumatize two little kids in the process.
Whatever your politics are, targeting little children because you don't like their parents is evil. And Christians, of all people, should be the first to say so.
Lindsay Lohan on whether she's considered returning to music:
"Not quite yet. It's so funny because I went to see Florence + the Machine recently, and she’s just so free. She's living onstage, barefoot and all, and it's amazing to watch. It’s like, “Oh, I miss singing and running around like that.” Then I'm like, “But when?”"
I LOVE that bright blue on M, but I'm not in love with that cut. I just don't care a ton for a hi-low moment. I wish the bottom was cut more like the red dress she wore to YSL. That length was so flattering on her.
FYI - Ken Paxton will sue hospitals who try to treat patients for any type of abortion procedures. This prevents DRs from giving life saving care to women because they’re scared of legal action from the government.
This is who is running for Senate against James Talarico.
We cannot afford to let him implement these laws across the NATION. Women will die.
@insidethegroove I'm absolutely sure it did, but Clockwork Orange was a part of a previous conversation they'd had, so it makes sense that it would be the discussion focus. I also think part of the interview was left out because it jumps from Kubrick to Confessions II song lyrics very suddenly.
In the very pro-choice DIRTY DANCING, the "nearly dying" is b/c of the illegal abortion provider who's not a doctor. It shows what happens when abortion is illegal like in the film's era. Baby's dad—an MD—saves Penny compassionately. The film clearly spells out she can have kids.
hot take: doctor who didn’t go to shit when “it went woke” - it’s always been “woke”, it just wasn’t as on the nail like it is now
the REAL problem is that doctor who got too soft and disneyfied. they need to make it dark and scary again. scar kids like it scarred us as kids
It certainly didn't help that they were very much like fans from years ago and not how most fans are anymore. If that had been when Tumblr was at it's peak, it would've sat different, but RTD is so trapped in the past that it felt incredibly weird and dated immediately.
