Acute care services have done an exemplary job of improving survival and long term outcomes for those suffering from COVID19. However, long term outcomes for survivors will be dependent on the seamless transfer of rehabilitation services and multidisciplinary care into community.
It is essential that Covid-19 patients continue their rehabilitation after they are discharged from hospital.

An insightful and moving piece which recognises the importance of Physiotherapy throughout the continuum of care for COVID 19. Community rehabilitation services will be key to improving outcomes and quality of life for long term term survivors.
