Oaks have done enough to secure promotion with one game still left to play - a huge achievement for all involved with the club. Well done to Maidenhead who played a great game and made us fight for every point. Next up, Hertford at home on 23 April.
No conclusion. So what do we know today that we didn't know yesterday?
🏉 a losing BP against @HertfordRFC will be enough to see @SevenoaksRFC crowned champions
🏉 a win away at @tunwellsrfc guarantees @DorkingRugby a top two finish
🏉 @HertfordRFC cannot finish in the top 2
There is a further way through for North Walsham 🔬.
A Dorking draw, with no BP, and a BP win for NW, sees both teams on 104 points. Under that scenario, NW comes second, with a greater number of wins.
Just two rounds to go. What do we know now that we didn't know on Friday?
1. A bp win for @SevenoaksRFC over @maidsrfc will see them crowned champions.
2. A bp win for @DorkingRugby over @WimbledonRFC will lock @HertfordRFC out of the top 2.
What do we know, with absolute certainty, heading into this w/e?
1. if @SevenoaksRFC defeats @TringRugby, then @HertfordRFC can't win the league.
That's it. Even a loss for Hertford at @BrightonBlues doesn't mathematically preclude a top-two finish. However ...
You can, of course, come up with permutations where a loss to Brighton means Hertford can't finish in the top two, but it relies on other results, not just a single game, to be stated with certainty.
So, after having to concede a game for a 5th time yesterday, @stags1863 (subject to appeal) are due to be removed from the league…
This doesn’t sit well with me. Post-pandemic, community clubs across the country are struggling, and in a season where there is no relegation (1/3)
The spoils went to @havantrfc last time when they hosted @maidsrfc back on 6 Nov, 26-12. Maids are 2 from 2 and will be keen to make it three-in-a-row when they play at home tomorrow.
8th place @sidcuprugby travel to 9th placed @TringRugby; on points within the 5 pt pen Tring suffered for conceding an early season HWO to @DorkingRugby. Both teams on 10 wins, Sidcup with an extra draw. It was Sidcup by 2, at home, back in Nov.
But that was then. Tomorrow?
Last week, @NorthWalshamRFC saw off @WESTCOMBE_PARK, while the lads at @SevenoaksRFC were able to put up their feet. NW took the spoils, away, in Rd9, 27-29. Will the rest for 'oaks overcome the home advantage?
This will provide some (marginal) clarity to the concertina of teams moving into higher level competitions. Will take a look later today and start to work through the permutations.
BREAKING | @DoncasterKnight and @ealingtfrugby have not met the minimum standards criteria for promotion to the Gallagher Premiership.

We know there's no relegation for the Premiership, but what about lower down?
The "Future Competition Structure 22/23 in the Adult Male Game" was released over a year ago.

Looking to the end of the season has anybody heard anything definitive of the size of The Championship (level 2) for 22/23? The Premiership will 14 (probably), Nat 1 = 14, Nat 2 = 3x14, so we assume 14 but have seen nothing.
There's then a secondary question about relegation. Given that many teams will need to shuffle up to expanded divisions (in terms of total numbers of teams), would we expect, for example, for the last team(s) in levels 2 and below to drop?
