Dean Bowden takes over as CEO of London CIV as of today. Dean said: ‘It is a great privilege for me to take over the reins at London CIV and I am hugely looking forward to working closely with all our Client Funds.
‘Migrating to Net Zero’ was the theme of the TV section of Room 151’s Investment Forum. Jason Fletcher, London CIV said: ‘We need to do less talking and see more action.’

Mike O’Donnell, CEO London CIV and Gavin Lewis, Head of UK LGPS, Blackrock meet up at the Royal Armouries Building in Leeds for today’s LGC Investment & Pensions Summit. Both of them were key note speakers at the Twickenham LCIV Conference this week where Blackrock was a sponsor.
Energy Transition was the most topical panel session at this year’s LCIV Conference. Vanessa Shia, chaired ‘How LCIV’s Infrastructure Investments are Contributing to Energy Transition’, along with Pruthvi Odedra, LCIV, Dan Wong, Stonepeak and Pete Stalley, at Stepstone.
Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson was LCIV’s guest of honour at its Conference Dinner. Mike Craston, Chair said: “It was both an honour and a pleasure to welcome Tanni. Our theme this year has been focused on ‘Diversity and People’ and we couldn’t have chosen a better speaker.”

Jason Fletcher, CIO, hosts the first panel session at this year’s London CIV Annual Conference. On his Investment Strategy Panel, he was joined by Wei Li from Blackrock; Tony Cousins of Pyrford, Anna Dragesic from PIMCO, Ruffer's Aled Smith and Jason.
Dean Bowden has been appointed CEO of London CIV in succession to Mike O’Donnell. Dean will join LCIV in November 2022 and take the opportunity to spend a few weeks working with Mike, getting to know London CIV client funds, before he takes over formally.
London CIV has published its Annual Review. Chair Mike Craston said: ‘Ultimate goal is to assist in paying pensions which benefit 672,000 people and to achieve savings and add value. Responsible Investment is a key theme with a net zero target of 2040.

London CIV, London Pension Partnership and Yoo Capital promoted The London Fund this week. Speakers were: Imperial College’s John Anderson, Future of London’s Nicola Mathers, Yoo Capital’s Lloyd Lee, Chris Osborne of LCIV, Louise Warden, LPPI, and Igor Ostrowski, Goldman Sachs.
London CIV's Chris Osborne, Harry Lamprinopoulos and Stephanie Aymes caught up with Yoo Capital at their Pillar Hall event. Says Stephanie: ‘It was good to catch up with Lloyd Lee where he talked about his plans to transform neglected parts of London, and how local communities ’.
