Residents' fury as illegal traveller site that sprang up with fences and gates over a Bank Holiday weekend is allowed to stay until 2029 https://t.co/jxs3NasMgi
And guess what? The world’s largest offshore wind farm (with wind turbines bigger than the Eiffel Tower) currently being planned on the east coast of Scotland is very close to the massive 600MW energy guzzling AI data centre proposed in Auchertool in Fife….just a coincidence obviously…
Would you believe that the London Borough of Westminster has the highest rate for stabbings in London.
Knife Crime Is Completely Out Of Control.
Murder In Pimlico.
There have been HALF A MILLION asylum applications since 2020, with £17.5 billion spent on asylum in 4 years.
The only just course of action is to remove all those who entered our country illegally, review the status of all those with asylum, and to freeze future asylum claims.
Do you recognise this man?
No? Well, you should.
This is Mark Carroll. Mark was brutally murdered by Rasheed Abdul Rahman in broad daylight in Camden back in 2024.
It was described as a random attack with no warning, no words and no motive. Rasheed walked straight up to Mark and stabbed him in the chest. Mark collapsed to the floor bleeding out.
Another white life taken in a random attack by a non. I’m starting to see a pattern here.
Cleeve Hill Solar. Ecology and food production and all other vital greenfield functions of marshland wiped out. ( @mitchellsnik as you expected.) Put the panels on roofs/walls/over roads/over urban concrete&tarmac. This is NOT GREEN.
Kebab Shop Owner Appears In Court Accused Of Raping Pensioner.
In a case that has shocked locals in Essex, 40-year-old Rahim Ghasemi, a kebab shop owner, is on trial at Basildon Crown Court accused of subjecting a vulnerable pensioner and former nurse to a horrific sex attack in the back of his car.
The alleged attack happened in February 2025 after Ghasemi, who runs a takeaway in Chelmsford, spotted the woman in her 70s walking past his shop late at night. What started as apparent kindness, a free kebab and an offer of a ride back to Basildon, allegedly descended into a nightmare of aggression, threats, and sexual abuse on the A130.
Prosecutors say Ghasemi, who previously served customers at the Cosmos takeaway in Basildon bus station, invited the woman inside, gifted her free food and water, then offered her a lift as he was closing up. CCTV captured her waiting across the road before getting into his vehicle.
Once on the road, Ghasemi allegedly unzipped his trousers while driving, exposed himself, and forced her hand onto him, commenting he hadn't had sex for a long time. When she protested, he is said to have pulled over, sexually assaulted her by penetration, and then ordered her into the back seat with a chilling threat: comply or be abandoned on the dark roadside.
In a filmed police interview played in court, the victim described her attacker as like an animal, aggressive, ignoring her pleas of it's hurting, and don't do it. She said she tried to push him off but was overpowered. "I was really scared, because he might do anything to me," she told officers.
After the alleged rape, Ghasemi reportedly drove her to a Tesco petrol station in Pitsea, dumped her there, and sped off. In severe pain, she called police from the bus back to Basildon. Officers met her and rushed her to hospital. Forensic evidence includes semen on her underwear matching Ghasemi's DNA.
Ghasemi, of The Gore in Basildon, denies rape, assault by penetration, and causing a person to engage in a sexual act without consent. He admits the sex but insists it was consensual, claiming the woman offered it in return for £50 and only got upset when he didn't drop her at her door.
In cross-examination, his barrister suggested the pair knew each other better than claimed, alleging prior phone contact and that the victim had asked for money.
The woman firmly rejected this: "He is lying. He is making up stories. I never took any money. On the Bible and with hand on heart, he raped me." She described initial politeness from Ghasemi turning predatory.
The trial has also heard claims he had a partner at the time, contrary to what he allegedly told her.
The victim, a former nurse, had been out gambling and having a drink in Chelmsford before the horrific encounter. Defence attempts to paint her as unreliable due to past drinking were met with her insistence she was telling the truth.
The trial continues before His Honour Judge Collery KC.
