On this day in 1999 (6/19/1999), the Dallas Stars defeat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 on Brett Hull's goal in the 3rd overtime to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Joe Nieuwendyk wins the Conn Smythe trophy as the Playoff MVP.
#TexasHockey
A few years ago, I stepped away from playing #Destiny for a really good reason:
Family.
Life isn’t a video game,it’s an entertainment choice. Our time here is limited, and the moments we get with the people we love matter far more than any grind, rank, or achievement ever will.
Well, when your team is known for:
- Cap circumvention
- Receiving the biggest gimme from the league for an expansion team
- have a goalie that committed sexual assault
- purposefully withhold employees you fired from gaining new employment
You tend to be unlikable
@JakeParkerLIVE As a hockey fan , and a Stars fan; the accolades are part of the problem. They exploited the salary cap and never got a hand slap for it. Y’all come across as very entitled as you described in your post.
I can go on….🤣
“What the f*ck is going on here? Like, do these people not know what the f*ck is going on?”
Tough look for the State of Hockey yelling at the refs for a delay of game.
