One of the coolest stories you will see this week:
Prescriptive housing from the University Health Network.
The Hospital network is building 51 modular housing units that can be prescribed to homeless individuals who are highly dependent on emergency rooms.

A message from a hospital pastor:
May I humbly request not to call #DamarHamlin’s recovery a "miracle”?
It wasn't a miracle. He had a sudden cardiac arrest with a shockable rhythm, received enough oxygen to his brain to preserve it through CPR, and was shocked back into rhythm.
Fernando - this man work tirelessly, from design to delivery of our brand new resus room. You have thought of everything. This man deserve a hugh amount of credit . Once again, thank you so much Fernando. @EKHUFT @EKHUFTUEC @EKHUFTicu
If you are a specialist in a hospital and send a pt to the ED. Notify your specialist colleague on call that you are sending a patient down requiring care. Make it direct to your service if relevant. This helps us a lot. You will make friends with ED staff quickly
Let me state a basic fact: A person’s control over if and when to have a child leads to healthy adults, healthy children, and healthy families. But the extremists who successfully fought to overturn Roe do not care about health. They care about control—not our fundamental rights.
Monday little tidbit of information for you all. Just remember 81 Conservative MPs voted to restrict woman’s rights in parliament just this year. Just keep that little splash of info in your minds if you don’t think what happened in the USA can happen in Canada.
Abortion is not just health care, it is a human right. Beyond infringing on bodily autonomy, there are conditions in pregnancy that result in death without safe abortion care. This is a calling for all in medicine to stand on the side of justice https://t.co/8FdGtvwI2L
Hey @boardobgyn - forcing OB/Gyns to go to Texas for oral boards is just wrong.
#1, our certification should not depend on financially supporting a state that refuses to recognize our expertise.
It's probably about time for hospital, healthcare and gov't leadership to address this
I suspect solutions will be mostly focused on "fixing" emergency departments. That's like giving the canary a gas mask so they last longer in the mine

I think there’s a good chance that the Grand Prix 🏁 this weekend in Montreal will have the double effect of setting off the next wave of SARS2 and sending monkeypox spiraling out of control. 💥
A lot of chatter on social media about the effect of primary care on the current crowding situation in Ontario Hospitals.
Let me be crystal clear. Non-urgent patients do NOT cause ER crowding.
A crowded ER is a result of a crowded HOSPITAL.
The ED is the mascot for a failing healthcare system
Yes, wait times are bad. Very bad. (20hrs for in patient bed it appears based on @CBCNews article)
But the issues are deep, extending to access & waste. And certainly won't be fixed with "eliminating hallway medicine"
