@martypartymusic This thing is going to pump to liquidate the shorts. I don't like ETH but this seems like the most likely scenario. I think SOL will follow as well.
@jlcolon2001@ariellesophia@elonmusk Join the private sector and look for a role doing similar work, as it should be. Govt spending needs to be cut, they are in debt.
@JoJoFromJerz I'd prefer business people running the Govt then deep state operatives (when Biden was in you didn't even know who was running the show, at least now we know!)
@stephanlivera@BITVOLT Bitcoin will appreciate on an exponential S curve once mass adoption occurs. Then the price will move like you never thought possible
Crypto is just a network of decentralized ledgers.
There are many types of decentralized ledgers.
These ledgers can ledger anything and represent the transactions for anything you want.
Some ledgers represent ownership of something.
Some ledgers represent ownership of nothing.
Some ledgers are valuable some are not.
Some ledgers are used as money.
Some ledgers are used as currency.
Some ledgers are used for access rights.
Some ledgers are used for governance and voting rights.
Some ledgers are accepted globally as value, some are not.
There are many types of crypto. They are not the same thing at all, they just happen to use the new database system, the distributed ledger, called a blockchain. There are many blockchains.
Stop putting all crypto into one basket.
Thats like saying every company that uses a database is the same thing. We need to grow up in 2025 and start categorizing crypto. Not all crypto is an investment. Some crypto is an investment, some a currency, others are just computer games.
High level categories:
Utility tokens are distributed ledgers that represent something. Rights, utility, access, ownership.
Store of Value tokens are distributed ledgers that store value like a bank vault. Like Bitcoin.
Stable Coin tokens are distributed ledgers that hold tokens representing 1 US Dollar and used as payment currency. Like $USDC or $USDT.
Network tokens are the underlying value unit of a distributed ledger network aka blockchain. They are used as currency, for governance and for usage and reward fees on that network. Like $Sol $Eth $Sui.
Lets talk about MEMEs.
MEME coins are not investments, they are computer games using distributed ledgers for the accounting of the game. Some of them. the game may go on forever, some the game goes for a few seconds. They all just casino games which use the distributed ledgers for their accounting.
MEMEs are a computer game. If you think they are "investments" in something, thats ok but they are not. Perhaps they are investments in a "community", but thats not clear and their is no guarentees. They can go to zero at any time as people rush to the door, like musical chairs.
You buy them because you think they will go up in value. Thats all. You are not promised anything. Well thats gambling. MEMEs are just a modern decentralized global casino. Thats ok. Its another use case for the blockchain, the decentralized ledger which has proven to do this very well. MEMEs have captured a lot of attention and allowed us to test the distributed ledger system at scale and load, to prove that it works.
There will be millions of ledgers on these networks, all representing different things.
Learn what crypto tokens represent and understand which are investments and which are gambling.
Its 2025 - get crypto smart.
@blockchainchick You're actually blind if you don't realize this is going to help bring mass adoption to Crypto. That's what we all want, for Bitcoin to become adopted by the masses, this quickens the process. Why so salty?
