So much GOOD NEWS at last night's @WhitleyAwards at @RGS_IBG - celebrating and championing those who work with local communities to bring about conservation solutions. Eg inspiring marine biologist @LongaNaomi leading indigenous women to save PNG reefs: 'we have the power to make change!" As the Princess Royal said, "we can go away with a smile on our face and hope in our hearts."
This time last week, the 2024 Whitley Award winners enjoyed a home-cooked meal courtesy of the WFN Friends Committee and a chance to meet donors and supporters at a special pre-ceremony networking event. Together, the Friends of WFN sponsor the Whitley Gold Award worth £100,000.
