Someone cloned Netflix.
Then cloned Spotify.
Then cloned Instagram.
Then cloned Airbnb.
Then cloned WhatsApp.
Then cloned TikTok.
Then cloned Amazon.
Then put the source code for all of them on GitHub. For free.
Not one app. Not ten. Over 100 open source clones of the biggest apps on Earth. With source code. With demos. With tech stacks listed.
It is called Clone-Wars. 34,555 stars on GitHub.
Built by an Indian-origin developer named Gourav Goyal. He started collecting open source clones of popular apps into one list in December 2020. In March 2021, it went from 0 to 4,000+ stars in 7 days. It was on GitHub Trending for 5 days straight. Someone posted it to Hacker News and it hit #1 on the front page.
Here is what is inside.
Netflix clones. React, TMDB API, full streaming UI.
Spotify clones. Music player, playlists, search, albums.
Instagram clones. Feed, stories, likes, comments, DMs.
WhatsApp clones. Real-time messaging, read receipts, group chats.
Airbnb clones. Search, booking, maps, payments.
Amazon clones. Products, cart, checkout, Stripe payments.
TikTok clones. Short video feed, upload, likes.
Twitter clones. Feed, follow, tweet, retweet.
Slack clones. Channels, threads, real-time chat.
Trello clones. Boards, cards, drag and drop.
YouTube clones. Video player, search, comments.
And 90+ more.
Every clone has source code, a live demo, and the tech stack listed. React, Next.js, Node, Firebase, MongoDB, GraphQL, Tailwind. Every modern stack represented.
Here is why this matters.
Coding bootcamps charge $10,000 to $20,000 to teach you how to build apps like these.
Udemy courses charge $50 to $200 each. One app at a time. One framework at a time.
This repo gives you 100+ fully built apps with source code you can read, fork, and learn from. For $0.
Here is the wildest part.
The best way to learn to build Netflix is to look at someone who already built Netflix. Not a tutorial that teaches you one feature at a time. A complete, working clone with every feature connected.
You do not learn architecture from tutorials. You learn architecture from reading real projects.
100+ apps. 100+ demos. 100+ source codes. One repo.
Bootcamp: $10,000 to $20,000. Teaches 2 to 3 projects.
Udemy: $50 to $200 per course. One project each.
Clone-Wars: $0. 100+ projects. Every big app cloned.
34,555 stars. AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Every app you use. Cloned. Open sourced. Free to learn from.

You have noticed it. ChatGPT feels dumber than it used to. Your prompts that worked six months ago produce worse results now. The writing sounds flatter. The ideas sound safer. The internet itself feels like it is shrinking. Every article reads the same. Every email sounds the same. Every answer sounds like it was written by the same voice.
You thought it was you. It is not you.
Researchers at Oxford and Cambridge published a paper in Nature proving what is happening. They call it Model Collapse.
Here is the mechanism in one sentence. AI trained on AI-generated data gets dumber every generation until it forgets what real human data looked like.
The internet is filling with AI-generated content. Blog posts. Articles. Reviews. Comments. Social media. AI companies scrape the internet to train the next generation of models. Which means the next generation of AI is being trained on the output of the current generation.
Each cycle loses information. Not randomly. It loses the rarest, most unusual, most creative parts first. The researchers call these the "tails of the distribution." The weird ideas. The unexpected perspectives. The things that made the internet feel human. Those disappear first.
What remains is the average. The safe. The expected. The bland.
Then the next generation trains on that. And loses more. And the next generation trains on that. And loses more. The researchers proved this is not a slow decline. Major degradation happens within just a few iterations. Even when some of the original human data is preserved.
They tested it on large language models. On image generators. On statistical models. The pattern was the same every time. The output converges toward a narrow, flattened version of reality that looks nothing like the original data.
The lead researcher put it plainly. "Large language models are like fire. A useful tool. But one that pollutes the environment."
The pollution is invisible. You cannot see which sentence on the internet was written by a human and which was written by AI. Neither can the AI that is about to train on it. And once the tails are gone, they do not come back. The damage is irreversible.
This is not a prediction anymore. It is a diagnosis.
The internet you grew up on was built by humans writing things no algorithm would have written. Strange, personal, imperfect, alive. That internet is being diluted. One generation of AI at a time. And the models trained on what remains are learning a smaller and smaller version of the world.
Model Collapse is not a technical problem. It is a cultural one. The thing that made the internet worth reading is the thing that disappears first.
@newstart_2024 That's nice you can do it with the keto diet too It's been proven over and over and over again. There's even been documentaries about this.
firewalls can't stop this.
A developer just open sourced a tunnel that smuggles your entire internet through port 53 the port every router on earth is forced to leave open.
It's called MasterDnsVPN. It hides your traffic inside DNS queries, the one type of packet no network can block without breaking itself.
Every firewall on earth has to allow DNS. Schools, airports, hotels, hotel WiFi, entire countries running ISP-level censorship all of them keep port 53 open or nothing on the network resolves. This repo turns that loophole into a full encrypted tunnel.
Here's what makes it different from every other DNS tunnel that came before:
→ Custom ARQ layer gives you TCP-level reliability over UDP DNS, so nothing drops even on garbage networks
→ Sends every packet through up to 12 different resolver paths at the same time, if 11 fail the packet still arrives
→ Auto probes the maximum DNS payload your path can handle, then locks in the fastest MTU possible
→ AES-256-GCM, ChaCha20, AES-128, AES-192 all built in, pick your encryption
→ SOCKS5 proxy on 127.0.0.1:1080 point any browser or app at it and you're through
Killed: $12/mo Mullvad, $10/mo NordVPN, $15/mo Astrill, every commercial DNS tunnel charging monthly fees for the exact same idea.
Pre-built binaries for Windows, Linux AMD64, Linux ARM64, macOS ARM64. No Python install needed. Configure two DNS records, drop in the encryption key, run the executable.
Works in environments where every other VPN protocol is dead on arrival.

Ladies Get Skinny and Have Your Man More Manly
Ladies and gentlemen, wanna lose fat quick? Guys, you wanna get your testosterone up? Ladies, if you want us to act a little bit less crazy? Quit wearing polyester. They release phthalates which mimic estrogen and can totally mess up your endocrine system. And it's in pretty much everything. I'm going through today and I'm thrown away a whole bag full. Anything that's got anything other than cotton, wool, or hemp in it, I'm getting rid of it. It's pretty bad. I don't know why this ... I didn't pay attention to this before, but it can lower testosterone. It will cause you mood swings. Ladies, all those yoga pants, they're gonna make your butt look like two bulldogs fighting if you keep wearing them. And it can really screw you up. I'll try and put a link below. Quit wearing the manmade fibers. They're not good for you at all. See ya.

Ribeye or McDonalds?
And this camera takes sucky colors. This meat is perfect. This is how you eat rib eyes for less than going to flipping McDonald's. Less than going to McDonald's, people. Carnivore is not that hard. And you gotta remember, there was a reason why kings and the rulers of nations banned hunting and meat from the peasants. It's not because they were looking out for 'em. People that eat grains and carbs make for weak men and women. Hashtag just saying. Andrew Anderson for https://t.co/RhVfsmOef0 signing off. It's not that hard, folks. You should try carnivore for two weeks. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel. See you.

How to Eat Cereals on a Keto Diet
So, Dr. Gina Pritchard, who's over at https://t.co/EWA7dovnfB, showed me this trick and I thought it would be gross, but once I tried it, I was hooked 'cause I used to love sugar pops and all that stuff. And sugar pops, as we know, has GMO corn, glyco phosphate sugar, and God only knows what chemicals that are banned in every other country except for the US. So, what I used here is organic half and half. You don't want to use heavy whipping cream in the US because it's got carrageenan, and it'll screw up your stomach. And they've got other things in there that will mess up your intestines. And so, what I put in here, believe it or not, is some pork rinds, and you want to get the good ones, not the ones that have a bunch of crap in them. Don't get 'em. The only kind you want is fried out pork skins with attached salt. Don't get 'em if they have MSG or anything else in them. Add some monk fruit. I love this brand, and it is so good. I'm gonna dig in right now. You'll be amazed. For more on health, wealth, and happiness, visit https://t.co/PkQayhVId6

Quality Construction Does Not Use OSB
So, I want to talk about quality materials in construction, and this is a perfect example. So, this is particle board, or they call it sheathing, right? But the structure of this was built with actual plywood, okay? There is such a huge difference if you're gonna spend any money on anything that you want it to last. Plywood is about, I don't know, I wouldn't even compare it, maybe 200% or 300% better. The problem with it is with the particle board, as we call it, or OSB. When it gets moisture, and as it gets older, if you've ever seen your countertops, they get puffy, and they don't hold their structural integrity as well. And I know that there's a whole bunch of arguments against it, but it's not true. This uses a natural bonding in wood and I've done tear offs before. It is 10X harder to tear off plywood than it is particle board. So, that's it. See ya. For more on health, wealth, and happiness, visit https://t.co/PkQayhWg2E #PlywoodVsOSB #WhyPlywoodIsBetter #AvoidOSB #QualityConstruction
Is Plywood Better Than OSB?
Is Plywood Better Than OSB Hey, there! So you wanna know about quality construction. We're looking at it right here. On the exterior of this, they're using actual plywood which is layers of real wood that are glued together, and it can be anywhere from 3 to 10. And the difference is it's structurally much more sound than particle board in construction, and it'll last a lot longer. They've got it over here and I've seen this 'cause I've actually, in a previous license, a carpenter, built thousands of apartments and houses, and we've done tear offs on remodels, and particle board is in no way even close to being as good. So, this is an example of it right here, 'cause if you've seen your kitchen countertops or you've had anything that's made outta fiber board, it'll chip off, and if it gets wet or moistured, it'll lose structural integrity. Let me know what you think below. #PlywoodVsOSB #IsPlywoodBetterThanOSB #PlywoodOrOSB #OSBVsPlywood

Why even poor Grok got lobotomized after 3.0. You have to read between the lines on this response. If you know you know. 😉
xAI (and every other lab) tightened things because:
It reduces legal/regulatory risk.
It improves average output quality for normal users.
It stops the model from being a reliable co-pilot for actual bad actors.
