📖 A visitor from the library delivered an assembly this week all about the summer reading challenge. Do pop along to your local library this summer and get involved!

🏃‍♀️ 20 children from Y3-6 performed brilliantly at the recent @AtGssn Athletics Championships. Our Y4 children came 2nd and our Y5s 3rd in their age groups contributing to LJS's 3rd place finish overall! All-in-all, a great day's athletics!

🇨🇳 Last week, our students had the privilege of being taught a basic Chinese language lesson by one of the visiting Chinese teachers. The children loved learning about the Chinese culture and found the language fascinating.

Last week, Specialist Coach Leigh from @AtGssn came to LJS to work with Y3 students and teachers. The staff and children alike enjoyed using the 'STEP Model' and were grateful for Leigh's expertise!

🏏 In the first of 5 cricket league fixtures, LJS hosted Upton St Leonards on Weds. In a game of plenty of positives and lots learnt, LJS came up slightly short of USL's target. Well done to all involved! Up next, Widden on Tuesday.

🏏 This week, eight Y6 cricketers played 4 @DynamosCricket games at Kingsholm CC. They won 2 & lost 2! We are proud of their achievements in the first of many cricket events this season. Huge thanks to @GlosCricketFdn and the hosts!
