@geoffschwartz He’s not technically ineligible to play college ball, he’s ineligible to play in the NCAA. He could still try his hand at a USCAA or NAIA school, if any would have him.
@RossDellenger I’ll keep asking - why should courts bail out Kessler for failing to proofread the House settlement that he negotiated for his clients? This should be an easy dismissal, and should carry some sort of personal punishment for wasting the court’s time. Huge fine or license loss.
@ProFootballTalk Wow, who could have foreseen that Sorsby’s agent wouldn’t agree with negative assessments of his client? Looking at the quotes, it’s all unsubstantiated bullshit about a GM allegedly asking him if he was really going back to school and his so-called desire to win a championship.
@CrossingBroad Hugh’s arguments about whether wins and losses should be a QB stat were terrible, but he was right that it’s boring. Rod Laken (or however it’s spelled) needs to put a moratorium on Jalen talk until the season starts unless he gets traded, injured, or extended.
@WinterSportsLaw If Kessler and his plaintiffs didn’t want MRM companies counted as associated entities, they should have been more careful about the settlement they signed. Why should Congress cover for his shitty lawyering?
@JackFritzWIP Jack, do you think the Phillies were too conservative with Wood’s assignment & promotion? I get that he’s a conversion arm, but reports I’ve read on here suggest he was able to bully hitters in the FSL with his FB instead of needing to consistently work on secondaries.
@georgewrighster “Stumbling into a bad situation” is a funny way to describe threatening to sue their conference if it suspended Sorsby, or any team that cancelled a game against them.
@McCannSportsLaw After Terrelle Pryor was selected by the Raiders in the supplemental draft, he served a five game suspension as a sort of carryover for his memorabilia scandal at OSU (why the NFLPA was okay with this is beyond me). Given that precedent, Sorsby should be banned from the NFL.
@EWess92 The inferior courts, by their very nature, are not equal to the president, and yet we’re supposed to live as if every action of the chief executive requires the unanimous consent of every federal judge in America. We need the judiciary reigned in ASAP.
@6abc The Supreme Court already held that little judges like this can’t issue nationwide orders, and there’s no legal grounds for the judges op-ed. Easy ignore, and will be overturned on appeal.
@JeffKerrPHL You’re right, and those people are also right. There’s nothing in Painter’s underlying numbers to suggest he’s going to perform better right now, and the Phils can’t keep throwing away every fifth game. They cant’t just do nothing about it.
@zerohedge The blame shifting and attempts at denying reality are crazy. “Uhhh the Russians did it with jamming” and “the sea drone ‘appeared to be’ a Magurda-type”
@achristovichh Well, whether or not the court order is lawful or has any merit is up for debate. The Big 12 could just tell the pissant little county judge where to shove it 🤷♂️
@JackFritzWIP Harper wasn’t a good outfielder before all the injuries, and he’s in the 44th percentile for sprint speed per Statcast. I don’t understand all the people who think moving him back to the OF is a realistic possibility.
