Last Saturday, I had the honour of joining the Association of Campus Journalists, Obafemi Awolowo University @Official_ACJOAU(the first campus journalism outlet in Nigeria) for the 2026 International Campus Journalism Conference. We reflected on the theme, "Active Voices: youth driven journalism for national cohesion and progress."

It was a privilege, as the 52nd Public Relations Officer of the association, to anchor the panel session on "Vibrant and Impactful Journalism as a tool for accountability, civic engagement, and national development."

It was such a delight to connect with journalists from across Nigerian universities and professionals in mainstream media. Ms. Faith Alofe @alofefaith, the first female president of the Association, Mr. Caleb Ijioma @caleb_ijioma, Mr. Segun Odunayo @Segun__Odunayo and Boluwatife Adedokun @AdedokunBoluw13

The great experiences shared will inform national development. I look forward to seeing active voices continue to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s progress.
