Hong Kong has raised a record HK$20 BILLION ($2.54 BILLION) by issuing government green bonds using blockchain technology, the world's LARGEST digital bond issuance.

That's a 25-FOLD increase in issuance size in just THREE YEARS.

The latest issuance also introduced tokenized HKD deposits for settlement, bringing blockchain technology closer to mainstream financial markets.
