Displacement is not new to Sudanese people. Some called it "emigrating", but really it was displacement.
Most of us left for varying degrees of "life here is no longer sustainable".
Various governments made Sudan unwelcoming for many; while others it actively banished.
@diaryofdualeh I think it’s essentially a tax credit for being a student in that year. I qualified for it when filing last year because I finishing up my masters early 2021
@darryl_perez I always try to push the framing of red-controlled states as places with large diverse communities with rich histories of activism that are essentially held hostage by republicans via various mechanisms of disenfranchisement & control
