Thank you! To migraines has come full circle.
Closing out the release cycle today, I want to share my thoughts.
Digital Art has been something that I’ve incorporated into my practice starting back in ’21. My ideas and paintings have reached a-lot of places I didn’t think was possible for myself. Now bringing more of myself, my experiences and more importantly my skin color into the forefront of those works, this collection release has been a personal success for myself.
I created 51 amazing artworks, all unique in their own right. Ranging in experiences, rooted in this idea of patterns and migraines.
16 people found those artworks to be great enough to add to their collection. The biggest of thank you to them making this career a reality.
Over 1300 page views on my own site built by myself + over 700 unique visitors.
Netting over 9 eth! My highest for a collection on primary.
I created a month’s worth of marketing material, ideas, plans, docs, website assets and more. It was a shit ton of work.
Though from the outside looking in, this collection could be seen as a shot in the dark. With only 20 of 51 artworks collected, its market doesn’t seem to be there, if you asked an analyst.
There is a-lot going on in the space and I’m thankful for the space that I was able to take up with my creativity and voice. I don’t intend on stopping my attempts to take up more space. There are so many people that believe in the career I’m building and the heights I’m aiming to reach.
I’m excited to continue to further expand on this collection and spotlight the paintings even more. The deserves a years worth of attention, it’s some of my very best work to date.
In the meantime, I’ll be creating even more. After the closing of the current auctions, all un-minted works will be vaulted back to myself for safe-keeping. Who knows what will be next but it will always be an event. I’m confident.
I hope you didn’t get a headache reading through all of this!
an amazing way to round off the week!
congrats to the newest collector of mine. it’s insane to think that I’m the first artist they’ve commissioned a large painting from.
so both times trump was against women, he won.
the one time he was against a man, he lost.
oh y’all REALLY hate women. even when they’re trying to save you 😂😂😂😂
Kamala Harris didn't lose, America did.
As a nation, we collectively failed her—and in doing so we failed girls and women, the LGBTQ community, people of color, Muslims, Jewish people, immigrants, the sick, the poor, the elderly, the people of Ukraine, and Gaza, and the planet.
It's unthinkable, that instead of being able to celebrate a beautiful, hopeful new chapter in the story of this nation with a leader who appealed to the best of our natures—we will instead be holding a postmortem for democracy as we enter our 250th year, stewarded by a malevolent sociopath who despises empathy and shuns the law.
I truly thought we were better than this, that our shared humanity would show up. I thought we would reject this hatred and ugliness once and for all.
I hate being wrong about the majority of the people of this nation.
I don't know what's ahead. All I know is that good-hearted human beings are more necessary now than ever.
We did all that we could to avoid this moment, but now that it's here we'll just have to decide who we will be.
There is no way to comprehend or measure how grievous an error this is, but the only thing the decent people of this nation can do is wake up tomorrow and fight like hell for what we still believe is worth the fight, and we will.
I'll be doing that with whoever has the strength to join me.
I'm mourning the country we could have been and the one we apparently are—but I refuse to give up believing that compassion is the right path, that diversity makes us better, and that love is greater than fear.
It's here!
