The Bank of England has kept interest rates on hold at 5.25%.
It says it may still need to raise rates if the war in Israel / Gaza impacts prices.
It claims this is not the time to cut rates.
And each of those decisions and claims is wrong. A thread....
@AlwaysAnAngel72 @TracyGreaves24 Sorry to jump in, but I was searching about Wembley parking to choose a car park and saw this! FAQs say you can change the reg right up to an hour before car park opening on event day so you can book it now and then amend when you know it!
@midnights3am This is goals. What do you think PL1 and PL2 refer to when you literally got ideal seat position with PL3?? Are you quite far back in section 111?
@ellielizabeths@_becca92 You’re right, these are only the seated prices showing for non VIP. I didn’t realise at first! When refreshing general admission standing did show, I think ~£170. Ready for it VIP is GA standing too but with early entry, at £277
The core issue here is not private clinics "overdiagnosing" ADHD in desperate patients but the chronic underfunding of the NHS, which means assessment queues are now 5 years in parts of the country. The private sector was always going to capitalise on the gutting of the NHS.
I'm a journalist with ADHD. From both perspectives it's unethical & misleading for a neurotypical journalist to try get diagnosed privately, but tell NHS psychiatrist about investigation into false diagnoses & then use the NHS assessment as evidence private diagnoses are wrong
People will celebrate many things today. But not this. It’s perfectly reasonable to protest peacefully against the monarchy. The police shouldn’t be locking people up. The King is supposed to defend our liberties. That’s what today’s about https://t.co/D85RCOIek7
Question 1. If the NHS has 133,400 staff vacancies, with 40% of junior doctors planning to leave, and nursing salaries down 20% in real terms over the last decade, should you pay them a fair wage?
How are we ever going to get to a point where LGBTQ+ footballers (or anyone in sport for that matter) feels safe, accepted and without fear of discrimination. Events should simply not be held in places where homosexuality is illegal and punishable, for example.
@British_Airways how long does it take you to make payment on a claim after it’s agreed to be paid?
I was told a week ago my claim was approved and would be paid to the account I provided but it’s yet to arrive, and no response from the contact form.
That really was quite a staggering statement from a Conservative party government
Huge new borrowing at the same time as cutting taxes.
It's all aimed at growing the economy. I really hope it works. I really worry what happens if it doesn't.

@OxfordBusCo Can you please outline your plan to either address the shortage or amend timetables, even just temporarily, to be accurate? The current service is pretty much unusable because it’s a lucky dip when (and sometimes if) the bus will arrive, how can people get to work on time?
@OwenJones84 Also for Tony - if a property like he bought way back was available affordable for me I’d be keen to buy and slowly renovate, but the only way I will likely buy is with government support which is focussed on new builds.
Question I'd like all potential Conservative leaders to answer (RT if agree)
The energy price cap's predicted to rise 64% in Oct taking a typical bill to £3,244/yr; & rise again in Jan to £500/yr more than when May's help package was announced. What'll u do to avoid this & when?
Rough Ready Reckoner based on predicted future price cap...
If you pay £100/mth now, from Oct £165, Jan £170
If you pay £150/mth now, from Oct £250, Jan £255
If you pay £200/mth now, from Oct £330, Jan £340
If you pay £300/mth now, from Oct £495, Jan £510
I'm sorry.
