Growing up in northeast Alabama before the Titans the Fins were our regional AFC team. Miami was an all time great franchise. Marino, Duper, Clayton, and Don Shula got me hooked. Like a crack addict the high in the early years was great......then it became less and less fun but I can't quit. Still chasing that dragon. :[
@elonmusk If there motives were genuine I might be for it, but we all know they simply do not want to have to compete in the arena of ideas ...they want to control the narrative!
I suspect when it eventually proves to be much safer than human driving it will be a government mandated feature and will have to be included in the purchase price. If Tesla gets there first it would be a huge competitive advantage and would drive sales vilume through the roof if it were a standard feature.
How about it's not an all or nothing proposition. Like everything there is a lot of nuance. When human lives are involved you need to use a little more thought and do what is right. People who have been here for years and have been working and are crime free beyond immigration violations at this point have passed a pretty damn thorough vetting process. It's pretty shortsighted and cruel to just cast them away.
They are processing your meat, they are landscaping your yard, they are cutting your hair, they are feeding you at their restaurant, they are filling the pews at our churches. Their children are doctors, serving in our military, scientists, entrepreneurs and fine contributing citizens. Their children also vote and all of the good things Trump is doing will come to an end if they lose the hispanoc vote.
@VerityBryant91@Bubblebathgirl The group as a whole are not net contributors, but there are millions of them who are. Don't use a hammer to do a scalpel's job. These are real people's lives you are impacting.
@ElizabethJetty6@Bubblebathgirl I live in a community that is 30% hispanic with many being illegal. The majority are here to seek a better life for their families. They have been used as political pawns, but the reality is these are people.
As someone who was personally negatively affected by free trade agreements. And watched my community be crushed by the loss of industry to foreign countries with sub-standard labor and environmental practices, I feel your pain. Being steamrolled by policy change is painful. The difference being this time it is a millionare who certainly has his assets sheltered from his company and will survive with a little discomfort. Last time it was the working class who were devastated and never recovered. It is long overdue that America makes 'Fair trade agreements' that give wotking class Americans a more even playing field.
