@Jeanthebean8816 @LizKershawDJ @DWPgovuk Your state pension isn’t short because some the NI was paid in to your private pension, it was meant to work out better for you when you claimed them, the total of the 2 should be more than what you would have got if you had just the full state pension, some don’t tho

@Jeanthebean8816 @LizKershawDJ @DWPgovuk Contracted out usual means you didn’t pay the full rate of NI so the difference goes “somewhere else” as far as I’m aware and that’s what’s happened with mine,

@Jeanthebean8816 @LizKershawDJ @DWPgovuk I didn’t know id contracted out as I was just a kid (YTS) but in the 2000s I got a pension statement, eventually found out that’s where the money went, if you scroll to the bottom of your gov pension gateway it’s on there

@MartinSLewis I can prove how much my house was worth in 1989 but according to the VOA my house more than doubled in price in 2 years…but from 1991 to 2013 when I bought it it only increased by 30 grand, someone’s fudging the figures 😡
