“The problem,” said the man – and he assured me he’d been saying it for a long time – “is too many immigrants.” “Immigrants, you reckon,” I said. https://t.co/y5QLXVa7Sl
For the second year in a row I am participating in the @blackdoginst#OneFootForward challenge. I would love your support (donations if you can, but encouragement absolutely) during the month of #October

Today is an important day of remembrance for all Australian's. Anita said at the beginning of this event "A day where we have a chance to talk about what happened in our past, a chance to acknowledge." ❤️🖤💛 @CroakeyNews@MelissaSweetDr
This morning I attended the Rural City of Wangaratta's #SorryDay event hosted by brother & sister Anita and Kevin (Cooper). They shared their fathers story of being stolen & his journey to return to family, to Country. Extraordinarily moving & deeply place based.
On this cold, wet morning on Yorta Yorta Country it was excellent to see such a significant turn out. At the conclusion Uncle Archie Roach's song "Took the Children Away" was played & just like that the rain began to come down, like large tears. Stopping when the song ended.
Day 2 of #CroakeyFundingDrive & today I've put my money where my mouth (keyboard) is & made a donation. Thrilled to advise that when you donate you get free 12 month subscription to their newsletter which for a lazy person like me is the best thing ever. Donate if you can today!
The #CroakeyFundingDrive is this week.

This is important reading for event organisers specifically - & the community more broadly. Thank you @AutisticDoctor 🌟 My autistic meltdown: the impact of autistic sensory needs - @TheLancet https://t.co/zvBMy6uYg7
Over 70 people attended our joint webinar last night exploring public health teaching and learning. We opened by asking attendees to use traditional names to share their location, which to quote panelist Kath Francis is "a small act of decolonisation". #GPHW2025@WFPHA_FMASP
