As frustrated as I am about yesterday, It’s also possible we’ve all massively underrated the PL strength top to bottom & are in a new paradigm where anyone can take points off anyone & the goal is to win the battle of attrition. We’ve actually gained ground over the last 5 games
It was always a mockery anyway but a reminder that rainbow armbands were banned at the 2022 World Cup because FIFA does not allow ‘political, religious or personal messages or slogans.’
Chelsea banking £100m (from PIF) for beating PSG in a glorified friendly because they won the Champions League four years ago is exactly the kind of situation that turns people against modern football. 😅
Shit makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
Go to the rust belt. Get in a car and drive from Green Bay to Buffalo.
You will drive through miles and miles and miles of abandoned urban sprawl.
Cities who used to have populations in the millions that now average around 500k.
We are not hurting for space, at all.
“Losing both Jorginho and Partey would be a big problem.”
It’s 2025, not 2022. Partey cost us probably 10+ crucial goals last season and Jorginho played a grand total of 704 PL minutes.
Stop crying about things that don’t matter. They’re finished, get rid, move on.
Ange losing his job really does prove that trophies don't really matter if the context surrounding them doesn't work for the longterm.
Like Wenger's latter FA Cups. Lovely day out, but you knew the club was going nowhere... and we weren't.
Spurs have made the right decision.
I don’t have it in me to get as worked up this early in the summer about a lack of signings as others are now. I have my concerns too, but tweeting 20+ times every day for three months about how Arsenal are screwed just sounds like unnecessary stress tbh. Let’s see what happens.
@Shamsdale Honestly MLS willingness to take a tactical foul at such a young age is something I really appreciate about his game. He has been punished for it before both correctly (west ham) and incorrectly (wolves), but typically takes a mature player to realize when these are necessary
It’s such a shame how a lot of people’s support of their football clubs these days is based on whether they get made fun of by faceless strangers on the internet. Context and being a good team isn’t as important as avoiding the ire of rival fans in your mentions, I guess.
Here’s the thing about football that social media has ruined: it’s about finding joy, about community, and about being proud of those who represent it. Banter’s fun and all but if it becomes the centerpiece of how you interact with football, that’s just an empty experience tbh.
