That’s first week of rehearsals done and dusted! ✅
We’ve been eagerly diving into the world of ‘the supermodel in the caff’, getting to know the characters and experimenting with how to tell their stories. This is already shaping up to be the best version of the show yet!
And a big thank you to the lovely team at Jacksons Lane for having us! Friendly people and a gorgeous place.
After months of pre-production, it’s been a privilege to get into rehearsing the show. If you’d like to support our work, you can do so here: https://t.co/75omDvogsy
Autumn Season 2025 🍂 (2/3)
Emma Bentley’s latest solo show cracks open the heads of four women, wanting and questioning, whose search for comfort leads them to the fried embrace of the greasy spoon.
🗓 14 - 18 Oct

♿ What about accessibility?
The Hope Theatre is on the first floor about The Hope & Anchor pub. It’s an old building and the only way to get to the theatre is via the stairs from the ground floor, so sadly it’s not step-free.

Our first ever production as Lopsided Arts was actually at the fringe — specifically Ventnor Fringe, which is still going strong after 15 years! After debuting ‘the supermodel in the caff’ at Ventnor Fringe 2023, we returned in 2024 with ‘FAKE’.
We're giving the fringe a miss this year whilst we build up to our biggest project yet (more on that soon) but wanted to acknowledge the beautiful humans facilitating, creating, and participating in the fringe: big love to you all! ❤️
For artists, the fringe gives us a platform for expanding our horizons and finding our audiences. For audiences (often also artists), it’s a great way to be immersed in an eclectic range of arts and culture, often for the fraction of the cost of a “normal” theatre ticket.
It’s World Fringe Day! And we're not talking about hair. We're talking about the hard-to-define arts and culture happenings which exist outside of the mainstream and big, shiny institutions.
