@Emma_Bytes @Fishie228 Unless it's DRM free, like all of GOG and more Steam and Epic games than you would expect. For example I have Psychonauts 2 from Steam on a drive and I can plug it in anywhere and play it. Alan Wake 2 is also DRM free from Epic, but you need to put -EpicPortal in the shortcut.

@dootskyre @JustCliff_ @Real_Priception @Coxxs If you still have the game icon from a previous install you can do that. A GKC won't add a game icon to your home menu unless it connects to the eshop first. Without the game icon you can't start a local version match.

@Nades Boy have I got (kinda) good news for you! Quake 4 came out in 2005. It's on sale at GOG for about $5. Kinda meh game though.

@Thorzilla @RockstarGames @PlayStation Don't let it update after you put the disc in or it'll remove a huge chunk of the soundtrack. After their music license expired Rockstar released a "patch" that removed a bunch of tracks from GTA 4. Since you have a physical copy you can still refuse the update and keep the music

@JustCliff_ @Real_Priception @Coxxs If it was a banned Switch being sold it wouldn't happen all of a sudden. The Switch would still be banned the first time you turned it on and you wouldn't be able to connect your Nintendo account. Fraudulent games are a possibility.

@JustCliff_ @Real_Priception @Coxxs Game key cards need to connect to the Nintendo store to download the game. If your console is banned you're no longer able to download it. If you already have the game installed it should continue to work as long as you don't delete it. Fully on cart games also still work.

@2099gaming 4 out of those 6 games come from 7th gen (360/PS3/Wii/PSP). That's where they're coming from.

@mantis_bunny @AnAverageGamerX What's funny about the Dualsense Edge is that they made the sticks modules that could pop out and be replaced. They're acknowledging regular sticks wear out, but that release mechanism couldn't have been less expensive than just putting in hall effect.

@Black_D_Gamer1 Consoles are switching from physical to digital with DRM though. If it was switching to DRM free digital there would be a very different conversation going on.

It seems incredibly unlikely that consoles would switch to DRM free digital, which is why people want to keep physical.

@Djmoyer23 @GPaperArchitect @GOGcom I should say you can redownload the game from GOG if you bought it from them before it was delisted. They can't sell it anymore. You can't redownload the game if you bought a digital copy for PS, Nintendo or Xbox. If your system dies or you delete the local copy it's gone forever

@Djmoyer23 @GPaperArchitect @GOGcom You're also good if bought it from GOG, but doesn't have anything to do with their offline installer. You can still download it from them. Whatever publishing agreement GOG made let them continue to distribute the game. Sony\MS\Nintendo didn't do whatever GOG did and can't.

@iJezabella @GOGcom No, it doesn't let you choose how big the chunks are. You'd have to put five 4.2GB chunks on each 25GB Blu Ray.

@ItemsENABLED @SYACVG If you want to have the whole trilogy installed you can't do it on the built in storage. It's 311GB.
