@niroads @eabhaaa It is not motorway design. Including Ellisholding and Carnbane junctions there are 5 junctions in a 4 mile period. Motorway spec says junctions should be min 1.25 miles apart. These junctions also have short on-slips with very poor visibility. E.g. Camlough road northbound.
@CarolineB07814@BELFASTCITY_AIR A simpler solution, which doesn't involve moving the train station and footbridge, would be to add an enclosed walkway from that point to the terminal building inside the fence. Add a few moving walkways and bobs your uncle.
It's less than 1km. You walk much further at DUB T1.
