Recent Steam reviews for EXD mention combat, balance, and bug issues from older builds.
All of these were fixed in Update 1.0.7 (June 17), and the game plays very differently today.
The current version reflects a much more polished and balanced experience.

Extra Dimensional is one of the most impressive indie vr games for 2026! However… the combat was not great and there was still some bugs and performance issues. Last week I directly worked with the devs to address these issues and the updates are now live and available to read via the link below AND they have announced more new content coming.

They should never have changed the name to Meta from Oculus. They should never of walked away from PCVR. They destroyed something epic getting rid of Oculus Home. They killed Ready at Dawn. The Metaverse is now a meme. Their conclusions are flawed and now I’m sitting back waiting to see what will be the next knee jerk reaction they get into. They might even fully walk away. Same with Sony and PSVR2. Great product but overpriced at launch and they couldn’t be arsed to play their strongest hand and that’s bringing more of their own IPs to their own headset. People think vr has failed when I would argue it’s the radical decision makers and half arsed attempts who failed vr. Valve releasing Steam Frame has put some wind back in my sails for virtual realities future, but they too might not go all in. They could invest in software or help vr developers make great games (maybe they are🤷‍♂️) but there’s also the chance they will drop expensive hardware and sit back to see what happens and that might not move the needle enough. I’m optimistic for its future because I believe virtual reality is the most immersive technology for entertainment. Maybe we are too early but when you look at the list of speed bumps we weren’t JUST early, there’s been a lot of very expensive mistakes along the way and we’ve lost a lot of good people too. I have no idea what the future holds but I’m here till it’s end.
