At the end of a thrilling grand finale, Mosi emerged victorious in the 2026 Hon. Lord Boam Inter-Tribal Gala Competition after a hard-fought 2:0 win over Fulani.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Mosi team for winning this year’s tournament. Your determination, discipline, and teamwork have truly paid off.

It was a great pleasure to witness such an outstanding and competitive performance from both teams. Fulani also displayed remarkable strength and resilience throughout the game and the entire tournament.

I also congratulate all participating communities for their commitment, unity, and support in making this year’s competition a great success.

Together, we have once again demonstrated the power of sports in bringing our people together.

I also took the opportunity to brief them on ongoing projects and interventions being undertaken, ensuring that our people are well informed about the progress made so far and the direction ahead.

Yesterday’s quarter final matches of the Sala Fest 2026 – Hon. Lord Inter-Tribal Gala Tournament were highly successful and full of excitement.

In the first match, Gonja delivered a strong performance, defeating Gruma 3:0. In the second match, Mosi edged past Chokosi with a narrow 1:0 victory.

I warmly congratulate both Gonja and Mosi for advancing to the next stage of the tournament. Your determination and teamwork continue to make this competition truly remarkable.

This year’s concert will feature the sensational King Paluta as our headline artist, performing live on 27th May 2026 at the Yeji Astro Turf.

Joining him on stage will be our very own talented artists from Pru East, including Issacozy, Mrr Phamous, Mcee, GH Barry, Star Kode, LSD Geng, Kerry Benz, and many more. It promises to be an unforgettable night of music, culture, and celebration.

I am pleased to inform all constituents that this is a FREE SHOW for everyone. Additionally, arrangements will be made to transport constituents to Yeji to ensure that no one is left out of this exciting experience.

In line with the visionary 24-hour economy policy championed by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, today marks a significant milestone in the development of the Pru East Constituency.

I am proud to announce that we have successfully held the official presentation of site and sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of the 24-Hour Market at Station-1. This transformative project is set to boost local commerce, create employment opportunities, and enhance economic activity within our constituency.

The event was graced by our revered Nananom from the various traditional councils across Pru East, dedicated party members, members of the general public, and the contractor, Atagiri Ltd, who will be executing this important project.

This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to improving livelihoods and driving sustainable development in Pru East. Together, we are building a future of opportunity, growth, and prosperity for all.

Today, I had the privilege, together with some Constituency Executives, to visit the Maternity Ward of Yeji Mathias Catholic Hospital to celebrate this special occasion of Mother’s Day with our hardworking and courageous mothers.

We shared some essential items with the mothers at the ward as a token of our appreciation for their strength, love, and the incredible role they play in nurturing families and building our society.

Motherhood is a journey of sacrifice, resilience, and unconditional love. Today, we recognize and honour every mother for her immeasurable contributions to our homes and communities.

To all the mothers at the ward and across Pru East, I wish you a joyful and fulfilling Mother’s Day. May you continue to be blessed with good health, strength, and happiness as you care for your families and loved ones.

Tragedy struck at Ayanfuri in the Diaso District after Nana Kwabena Okyere, Mmratehene of the Ayanfuri Traditional Area, allegedly shot himself accidentally with a pump-action gun during a funeral ceremony on Friday, 9th May, 2026.

According to police reports, the incident occurred during the funeral rites of Abusua Panyin Akwasi Kwateng. The chief sustained a severe gunshot wound to the abdomen and was rushed to the Ayanfuri Pentecost Hospital, where he sadly passed away while receiving treatment.

His body has since been deposited at the Dunkwa-On-Offin Municipal Hospital Mortuary as police continue investigations into the incident.
