The Chapel offers some fine stained glass, including English and French glass from the 13th to 16th centuries (in the East window), and Flemish and German glass from the 15th to 17th centuries (making up 24 roundels in St Andrew's Chapel). #Chapel800

We were built as the chapel to the adjacent Gaunt's Hospital, now demolished, founded in 1220 by Maurice de Gaunt. he also founded Blackfriars in about 1227-9 (the cloisters now known as Quakers Friars).

These are some of the 16th century Spanish floor tiles and Medieval English armorial floor tiles forming an unusual but pleasing pattern. It is believed the Spanish tiles were gifted by Catherine of Aragon #chapel800

We're sorry to say that the anniversary concerts on 10/11 April and 20 June have been cancelled for obvious reasons. We're reviewing our events later in the summer and will keep you posted @brislordmayor @BristolCouncil
