Trying to front run the Fed is like trying to front run earnings - get it right, more upside, get it wrong, often sharp pullbacks. I wouldn't want to be all-in banking on a Fed pivot tomo - but I could be wrong. I'd rather see stocks much higher- not sure J Powell feels the same.
I got in just before news with a 20 point stop
I told myself that I don’t trade news and immediately got out to watch price go 130 points in my favor
Building discipline sucks in the short term but pays off in the long run
I rarely buy a full position on the first day. I usually buy 50% of my planned position and add to it on the way up every 1-2% percent. If the trade fails immediately I have a small position and that means I have a small loss! Risk management is more important than anything else

If you're not, then don't take the trade.
If you're not prepared to lose, you're going to panic and make emotionally rash decisions when the market is moving against you.

Solid start to the month, after most sectors were washed out in Sept. Index volume light today, but high volume selling last week. A lot of high range up days today, much needed.
After about 2-3 losses I have the urge to size up enough to make back those losses and then some
