It looks like the Pacific is emptying into a hole in the earth. It isn’t.

Collapsed sea cave in the basalt. About 20 feet deep. Open at the top and the bottom. At high tide the well fills from underneath and can spit the ocean 40 feet back into the air. Miss the tide and it’s just a quiet hole in the rock.

They call it the Drainpipe of the Pacific. The rim is slick. Don’t stand on it.

Coffee. Wander. Repeat.

It looks like the Pacific Ocean found a drain in the middle of the rocks, especially when the waves start crashing in.
