Planning permission has been granted to build a car test track on the #bosworth battlefield, this will destroy archaeology and ruin the site of a historically famous #waroftheroses battle. Please sign the petition to prevent this from taking place. https://t.co/NUGXEGP1Da
@1stAlterations@Oldwargamer We still do it, I was 14 when I first joined the pike block, 19 now and still love it. Are you interested in getting back involved? ๐
The importance of the Civil War to western democracy cannot be underestimated - yet few of our towns and cities make anything of their involvement in the struggle. So congratulations to #Newark even their litter bins show armour and siege coins, at the site of Mill Street works.
Brilliant to hear that last week @NasebyBattle was awarded ยฃ6000 by @DaventryDC to update the information panels around the English Civil War battlefield. Well worth a visit if you haven't been already. I love how the council is supporting such an important part of UK history.
@JohnWeinert1 Not happy Ollie Cromwell was a pretender, I go to a march with 300 other volunteers in London to commemorate his death every year, does anyone do that for Cromwell, I don't think so ๐
