I've made many new friends and leave the Chairman's role with some amazing memories.

And I am also delighted to take over the shadow DCMS brief so ably championed by Stuart Andrew.

I am passionate about all DCMS sectors and am honoured to have been asked by Kemi to take on this new challenge.

Some sadness today in CCHQ at the departure of Lord Johnson. He acted as the sole fundraiser for Kemi Badenoch’s successful leadership campaign.

Subsequently his fundraising team has been one of the few highlights of her leadership in terms of raising donations
