Det här är vänsterns eviga tankefel i sin renaste form.

De tror att samhället blir rikare av att staten först gör allt dyrare, tar pengarna från folket, kör dem genom myndigheter, bidragssystem, handläggning, regler, administration och politisk symbolik - och sedan delar tillbaka en liten del som “stöd”.

Det är inte välfärd. Det är politisk rundgång med svinn.

Lägre bränslepris är inte bara billigare tankning. Det är billigare transporter, billigare mat, billigare byggande, billigare skogsbruk, billigare jordbruk, billigare service, billigare kommunal verksamhet och bättre marginaler för företag och hushåll.

Bränsle och energi är blodomloppet i ett fungerande land.

Gör du det dyrt, blir hela landet dyrt. Gör du det billigare, får hela kedjan syre.

Och nej, sänkt bränsleskatt är inte automatiskt en “kostnad” på det sätt vänstern låtsas.

Folk från Norge och Finland kan börja tanka här. Turismen får draghjälp. Landsbygden får mer rörelse. Företag får lägre kostnader. Hushåll får mer kvar. Pengar stannar i ekonomin i stället för att brinna upp i politiska omfördelningsmaskiner.

Det vänstern hatar är inte låga bensinpriser.

■ Det de hatar är att människor får egna pengar, egna val och egen frihet utan att behöva stå med mössan i hand och tacka politiker för ett bidrag.

Deras modell är alltid densamma:

● Först gör de livet dyrare.
Sedan delar de ut politiska hundben.

■ Sedan kräver de applåder för att de “hjälper” dem de själva pressat ner.

Det är därför billig energi alltid är farlig för socialister. Den gör människor friare. Den gör företag starkare. Den gör landsbygden levande. Och framför allt: den minskar behovet av politiker som mellanhand mellan människan och hennes egen plånbok.

Refuting dumb arguments against physical games🚀

🗣️“85% of players buy digital”

✅15% or even 5% in this industry is still millions of people bringing in hundreds of millions of not billions o revenue

🗣️“Netflix and Spotify ended movie and music Blu-Rays and CDs”

✅Movies are still being sold on Blu-Ray and 4K UHD Blu-Rays, and music is still released on CDs, vinyl records and even collectible cassette tapes that actually work, despite being far smaller and less demanding than video games which can go over 100GB

🗣️“I haven’t bought a physical game for 10 years! It’s obsolete”

✅Your experience with games does not automatically reflect everyone else’s. If you don’t care, don’t get in the way

🗣️“It’s expensive to make games on disc”

✅Games won’t be cheaper when man all digital. You will pay the same price for a glorified rental that can be taken any time due to licensing agreements or account loss/suspension

🗣️“You’re too broke, you want to buy second hand and resell games”

✅Being a bootlicker to corporations that don’t know you exist, does not make you any less broke than those you accuse and posture in front of behind a keyboard

Physical games should always be an option. Video games are far more than just a file to download or “access” to gain. They hold sentimental value to players and collectors.

Raise your voices, players, game makers, gaming and memorabilia stores. Let us overturn this predatory decision!

Video games are an art form, not just a business and the value players hold for them should be honored and not reduced to a code to redeem and a download to revoke😎

I appreciate they acknowledge that everything is a quota.

Why can’t a bunch of guys get together and make a game? Why is it a problem?

There is quite literally nothing stopping a group of whoever, guys, girls, whatever- NOTHING is stopping anyone from creating anything.

Is the product they make good and come from a place of passion? That’s what I’m interested in. If it’s great, that’s fantastic. The greatness of it isn’t reliant on arbitrary factors like immutable traits. WHO is on the team in terms of immutable traits, doesn’t bloody matter unless you’re a sexist or racist.

Just because a group of women make something doesnt mean they “represent all women”. They represent themselves and their own talents and passions. If you live vicariously through that because your own life is lacking direction, passion, or anything else, that is a YOU problem. It also will not speak to the enjoyment levels of the game. A product isn’t instantly good because a certain demographic made it.

Same with a group of guys. Tell me what the problem is.

“Well because guys make up most developers!”

So the heck what? Guys are more likely to go into the field- a lack of women isn’t because someone is keeping them down. Demographics exist. Hold this energy for female dominated spaces and then you’ll convince me this might be about “equality” but equality also means acknowledging there might be differences between groups of people.

“Well they aren’t diverse!”

1) who cares.
2) did you poll every person who works there and take down all their basic information and beliefs? Define diversity without a physical trait tied to it.
3) do you hold the same energy for Indian, Chinese, and African born businesses or are you just a bitter person trying to be angry because joy is scary?

We live in a time where anyone can get together with anyone else and make something they want to make and share it with the world. When you decide to attack that, it shows you don’t care about creating games or telling stories, you just care about quotas.

If the game isn’t for you, then that’s fine. But taking issue with a bunch of dudes and demanding a token female or whatever is pretty gross behavior.

If we polled every worker at Kotaku, would there be any true diversity? Any diversity of thought? Interest? Religion? How about we break things down further, do you have green eyed representation? How about a size 9 foot woman? Any muscle headed men too into football and bbq?

See how stupid that sounds?

People should be allowed to get together to create without the need of shallow quotas that have nothing to do with skill, nor should they be forced to create characters with the same quota concept in mind. The free market will decide what is successful or not but regardless of the money side of it, people should be allowed to create the stories they want with no interference.

Anyway, 1/8 rage b8. Wasn’t angry, just confused.
