@AdamClery By Pep, you mean Lijnders, right?

[I Heard My Name! @LordOfPrecedent]

@AdamClery If they don't push for Guehi then they're mad-- they've sold 3 first-team academy graduates this year, so they need homegrown players.

"no one has died" because of feeding USAID to the woodchipper, Elon claimed. In this devastating piece the NYT went out and learned some of their names and stories:

[I Heard My Name! @LordOfPrecedent]

@falconeSPQR @theoldzealand 2 more big differences: in Am. football, offside only applies at the snap, not always, and laterals (sideways/backwards passes) must *actually* go backward, vs in rugby where they can go fwd as long as they go back relative to the momentum of the passer. So laterals are less good

[I Heard My Name! @LordOfPrecedent]

@falconeSPQR @theoldzealand Successful pass plays are far better than runs, generally speaking. Good QBs get 8-10 yards per pass attempt while good running backs get 4-6 yards per carry.

So tactically, the game favors the forward pass.

I'm gonna share something my father told me on a picket line at a hospital when I was a kid: he pointed at the state troopers, and he asked me, do you see which side they are protecting?

Trump still has the sauce. No one else could have made picks like these. Every selection is like drafting a kicker in the first round but the kicker has a Wikipedia section titled Allegations and is also not really a kicker

From Ted Chiang's recent New Yorker essay about AI. I totally agree with this:

@efortmanteau Nebraska allocates its electoral votes by congressional district, plus the two senate votes by the overall state. It looks like the map is showing the three districts and nothing about the overall state lean except for the legend
