Remember that you don't have to engage with media that you don't like. You, as an adult, have control of what you watch/read/listen to.
That includes any commentary on said media.
"Never underestimate your audience. They're generally sensitive, intelligent people who respond positively to quality entertainment." --Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell, 200
This is my favorite quote from any TV show or movie. I wish it was applied more in Hollywood these days.
Appeal to the fans; we'll bring in new ones!
I don't know, Chris. Maybe just pick a frame and stick to it. I don't think the image filling the entire screen on every screen is really worth composing every shot in your movie for no aspect ratio in particular.
It's too easy to forget storm names so they should be named like Friends episodes - "The One That Fucks Up The Easter Weekend" or "The One That Will Mean a 3rd Week Of Wimbledon", etc. Much easier to remember.
Naming characters can be hard for authors and gamemasters.
One of the best jobs I've seen in naming fictional folk is Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship are Aragorn, Boromir, Frodo, Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas, Merry, Pippin, and Sam.
Only two of those names share an initial letter - Gandalf & Gimli. But those characters are arguably the two MOST disparate. In addition, "Gimli" has a completely different mouth feel from "Gandalf" so you're never confused.
Imagine if Merry was named "Peter" instead. You'd constantly be confusing Peter and Pippin, the two too-similar hobbits. Look at Faramir and Boromir - similar rhyming names helps us to remember they are brothers, but the different vowels and and first letter means we won't mix them up. When you rhyme Denethor, it doesn't exactly rhyme but the three-syllable "R" name makes it feel familial.

Reminder that Stargate was so good it actually survived replacing their extremely popular main character as he stepped back into a more writing, directorial and supporting cast role.
