Canadians are clueless, and Canadian politicians are either incompetent—or worse, outright malevolent. It’s incredibly frustrating. We could have negotiated a serious deal with the U.S., expanded pipelines, opened up our natural-resource economy, developed rare-earth minerals, and positioned ourselves as an indispensable energy partner. Instead, we chose to be the naïve “elbows up” country.
Now the U.S. has taken Maduro into custody(which is definitely a chess move by the Trump administration), and guess what’s coming back onto the market? Venezuelan oil—this time under U.S. control. That means the one piece of real leverage Canada had in negotiations is gone. Once CUSMA expires, we’re finished. The U.S. needed Canadian heavy oil, but now they can replace us with Venezuelan supply as sanctions are lifted.
Oil prices will likely come down, which is good for the global consumer—but bad for Canada, because oil is our cash cow. And yet, we continue to sabotage and undermine our own natural-resource industries. Alberta is the single biggest contributor to Canada’s economy on a per-capita basis, and without Alberta and Saskatchewan, the rest of the country is financially insolvent.
Canada is about to lose even more revenue while our government continues to spend like drunken sailors. What makes it worse is that the money isn’t even being spent on Canadians—it’s being funneled to foreign entities instead. Billions of dollars are disappearing into foreign aid and so-called “international development” schemes. The Ukraine war has effectively become a massive money-laundering operation.
Ironically, the only thing that will finally wake up the average Canadian Liberal voter is when this country starts to resemble Venezuela—and at the rate we’re going, that moment isn’t far off.
The core problem is the electorate’s inability to understand first principles and second-order effects. That intellectual failure is exactly how we ended up with an incompetent Liberal government for a decade. Most Canadians can’t think beyond their emotions or short-term gratification. They don’t understand cause and effect—only the immediate dopamine hit of government handouts and virtue signalling, and nothing beyond that.
If Venezuela actually stabilizes, sanctions are lifted, and it becomes the primary oil supplier to the United States—effectively replacing Canada—that would be the nail in the coffin for us.
Alberta independence has effectively become the most important political issue of my lifetime. Rather than trying to wean Canadians off the political Liberal plantation and save a country that no longer wants saving, it’s clear the ship has too many holes.
It’s time to lower the lifeboats and get away from the sinking ship that is Canada.
@drsmango_@PtkToffee@getnickwright You’re trying to use that to discredit him as if he’s the only player to not get punished by the officials for such a play. If he was then you would have a point but he isn’t so its irrelevant to bring that up unless you’re just hating.
@drsmango_@PtkToffee@getnickwright A lot of players haven’t been sent off for worse plays this world cup, are you criticizing them all the same or its just Messi?
@drizzyvalentino Ain’t no way this is a real song that was supposed to be on an album, glad i haven’t wasted my time listening to gnx. Kendrick is officially an audio terrorist. This is doo doo.
This is only true if the negative publicity turns into higher streams or merch sales, but we know it ain’t because his music didn’t gain any traction from this publicity so in this case it would have been better to not have the negative publicity. People tweeting negative things about you on social media is bad for business if it’s turning people away from your music and products.
Who is Jay loyal to? Not his friends, colleges or the community. He will sell you out to for a bag. At least Drake is loyal to those loyal to him. Mal is making the smart choice. Jay z is always in it for himself, he wouldn’t even loan his own cousin $4500. Drake out here blessing his family and friends.
Streaming demands far more from listeners than simply buying a physical album and never playing it again. With streaming, fans actually have to like your music and keep returning to it for the streams to add up to a full album sale. A physical purchase, on the other hand, counts as a full album sale for the artist even if the buyer only likes one song—or never listens at all. You can stream an entire album once and it still won’t equal a full album sale. Overall, earning strong album-equivalent sales is much harder in the streaming era.
@KletvaBastian@CTG405@KendrickData You Kendrick fans are actual weirdos, gay talk seems to be your go to, its quite predictable at this point . Maybe spend sometime around women, it will do you some good.
You believe that nonsense from Kendrick? Most of those disses were prerecorded, he barely rebutted anything Drake said. And of course Drake wasn’t going to back out, Kendrick dissed him first on like that, it’s not like Drake just finished his tour and started telling Kendrick to respond out of nowhere. Its clear Kendrick has been jealous of drake,he’s been name dropping him since 2009.
@CTG405@KendrickData I used to like Kendrick but once he became a hater i stopped listening to him. I don’t need hater vibes in my life. Being a hater is sucker shit.
@malcoleprophete@HOT97 Can ya’ll read? Squabble didn’t go number 1 on billboard 200 global. It was number 1 in the US billboard 100. One is local /US and the other is global/ international. So Drake’s song hit both number 1 in the US and Number 1 internationally.
