This past Tuesday, we faced Glynn County, and unfortunately, we didn’t come away with the win. Offensively, I didn’t perform the way I wanted to. However, I was able to capture this play behind the plate as a catcher and contribute defensively. I’m looking forward to continuing to work and getting better with every game!

Last night, we faced off against the Pierce County varsity softball team. Unfortunately, we didn’t come away with the win, falling 3-4 in a hard-fought game. Even though we came up short, I’m proud of the fight we showed throughout the game. I was able to contribute at the plate, going 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and a single, scoring two of the runs and driving in the third.

This past Thursday, we took on Richmond Hill Varsity Softball! After battling through a lightning delay for hours, we finally got back on the field and fought our way to tie the game 3-3, sending us into extra innings. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to pull off the win, but I’m proud of how we continued to fight until the very end! I went 2-for-4 on the day with a single and a double, with my double helping tie the game.

Grateful for the opportunity to pick up with @ecbtodd69606 this weekend at the Backwards K in Newberry, FL! We finished the weekend with a 3-1-1 record, competing hard every game.

At the plate, I batted .429 with 3 singles and 1 triple. I was thankful to get the chance to play some middle infield and continue gaining valuable reps behind the plate as a catcher.

This afternoon I spent time putting in work off the tee as I prepare for my upcoming showcase in a few weekends in Newberry, Florida. My main focus today was attacking outside pitches. I started with high-tee extension drills, working on staying through the ball with full, controlled swings. Then I switched to my game bat and continued working on the high tee before finishing the session with low-tee work.

This past weekend, my team, Five Star Mafia-Stripling, competed in Leesburg, FL. We didn’t get the outcome we were hoping for, but we had the opportunity to compete against some very talented 18U teams as a 14U team. Playing up challenged us and helped us to grow. I wasn’t satisfied with my performance at the plate, but I’m staying focused, learning from it, and continuing to put in the work. Here are a few defensive clips from the weekend.
