@MildlyBitter@CameronPKelsall I wasn’t entirely resentful at the length so I guess I didn’t *hate* it but if I could have been outside seeing the Northern Lights instead, I would have preferred that. And sorry I missed you if either was there last night!
@MildlyBitter There are three members of the cast of Tribes on Broadway right now, two of them with Tony noms, and honestly had the entire ensemble of Stereophonic not been nominated, Susan Pourfar might have snuck in. In other words, I miss the Barrow Street Theater.
@DavidCote@DameednaDavid The Owl Creek explanation is brilliant tho and I say that as a critic who missed it and think the whole thing makes way more sense with that premise.
@swholdren I don’t know what is going on at The New Yorker but I’ve noted howling factual errors and typos more times in the past few months than in the previous few years.
@exeuntnyc@CameronPKelsall I think I liked it more than you but I said to my friend on my way out that the way I really wanted to see this show was on a WPA style national tour with all the moving columns etc stripped out.
@MildlyBitter I have already given up on seeing even half the things I want to see, as well as most of the things I’ve already seen in some form lately.
@MildlyBitter They are actually both in bands or have been at various points so I’m feeling this. (Less the Band from Adam Rapp’s Finer Noble Gases was a real band for a while and yes I have their record don’t ask. I forget the name of Shannon’s band but it’s out there!
@MildlyBitter I didn’t hate the choreography as much as you did but then again I love So You Think You Can Dance. But that hand thing is big on TikTok apparently.
@MildlyBitter Tbh I think you might even be giving them too much credit on expecting people’s knowledge of the song to do the work…because they changed far too many lyrics if they thought that was a good idea.
