@BootstrapCook I love charity shop finds. I rarely buy new these days unless, desperate for jeans; no need. Great clothes, fraction of the cost, good causes helped! I've passed the love of bargain hunting on to my daughter, too.

Prepping the garden for winter and we've found vine weevil larve in a the mixed planters. It's completely killed one of the alpine flowers and the other is struggling. Hoping we can save the fuscia by repotting. Is this what the OH means when he refers to a battle with nature?

The fact they are both adult sized and can reach all the cupboards does make enforcement difficult...🤔
