I think that Trump renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America is pointless and stupid.
Wanna know what else I think is dumb?
The fact left-wingers are triggered about this after they spent the last decade plus renaming sports teams, public schools and universities, streets and highways, food and condiment brands, and redefining half the dictionary altogether.
Here’s a list of some in case you forgot:

And so on and so on. . .
While everyone is busy fighting over “Lake Ontario” vs. “Lake America,” here’s a friendly reminder:
On September 8, the punitive federal fuel excise tax is scheduled to come back. The Liberal punishment for having to drive to work, which don’t forget taking most of your pay check as it is!
That means minimum of 10¢ more per litre of gasoline — PLUS GST on top of that tax.
Tax the tax…
So while we’re busy defending the honour of a lake, maybe someone should ask:
Will Mark Carney still be such an amazing leader when he’s done squeezing a few more dollars out of every Canadian at the pump?
Which DOES cause inflation on groceries etc!
Priorities. 🇨🇦
Many of us have lived through:
- the rise of the internet
- watching records turn to cassettes, cassettes to CDs and CDs to digital.
- Landlines become cell phones
- Blockbuster become Netflix
- snail mail before Amazon
We have lived through the whole world changing, yet the 90’s feel like yesterday.
One of the most toxic fallouts from the Trump years is this reflexive need a lot of people have to automatically side with anyone going up against him.
Mark Carney is banking on that and exploiting it hard. He knows the press will paint Trump as the irresponsible, blustery provocateur in the collapsing Canada-US trade talks, so by going all-out against Trump he scores easy political points.
The truth of the matter is that the playing field has been uneven and unfair between Canada and the US for decades.
Canada imposes lofty tariffs - sometimes nearly 300% - on American cheese and milk once a tiny quota is filled, and they even give the Europeans better access than they give the Americans.
Provinces yanked American wine and spirits off the shelves in government liquor stores. They hit US cars with extra tariffs and quotas. Softwood lumber has been a long-running game too. But the biggest problem is the Chinese back-door scam: steel, auto parts, and EVs from China get lightly processed or just relabeled in Canada, then shipped into America under USMCA rules so they dodge the tariffs Trump put on Beijing.
That lets China keep flooding the North American market, undercutting American (and Canadian) workers, and basically laundering its way around the sanctions and trade barriers meant to stop its cheating. The Trump admin wants to end the free ride and make Canada shut down the transshipment loophole that China is exploiting.
Carney walking away from a near-done deal and playing the victim just keeps Canada in bed with Beijing while American (and Canadian) workers pay the price. And he’s hoping you don’t look beyond the headlines and find out the truth
🚨 EXPLOSIVE: PETER NAVARRO JUST DROPPED THE REAL POLITICAL DYNAMITE BEHIND THE CANADA–U.S. TRADE COLLAPSE.
According to Trump’s trade adviser, Washington offered Canada a “fair deal” but Canadian politics poisoned the negotiations.
Navarro says Carney learned something dangerous:
Every time he attacks Trump, Canadians reward him politically.
So instead of de-escalating and closing a deal, the incentive became to keep the fight alive.
And then comes the most insane part near the end:
Navarro essentially argues that Carney’s political success from anti-Trump rhetoric made compromise harder, not easier.
Think about what that means.
If true, Canadians didn’t just lose a trade deal because of economics.
We may have lost it because fighting Trump became politically more valuable than actually making a deal.
That would be absolutely devastating.
Watch the end of this clip.
At every moment Canada looks like a colony of idiots.
CNN had Olivia Chow on to discuss the trade war and it goes exactly as you would expect it. She references Dolly Parton? And She basically agrees that cutting off electricity to the U.S. would be a good decision by Doug Ford.
The CNN host does not look impressed that she had to interview this woman.
This is a person who runs Canada’s largest city.
What does that tell you about the people voting these individuals into power?
"So one really notable headline today is that the Chinese Communist Party complimented the Prime Minister of Canada and cheered him on."
"And they said that he did a China style attack upon the United States of America."
Canadian here -- if you're curious as to "what is going ON with Canada"
I can tell you
Canada has an entire political class and media that is 100% dependent on fueling the war with the USA to survive.
Without this conflict, they only have a record of failure and propaganda
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney just declared economic "war" on the United States over Trump's 50% tariffs. But this isn't really about trade. Look at who Carney is. He's one of the most powerful supporters of the Great Reset that Trump is trying to destroy.
And look who he just hired as his Chief Operating Officer: Maia Johnson, an American Democratic operative who worked on the Hillary Clinton, Biden, and Harris campaigns. She built her career trying to beat Trump. Now, Carney is hoping she can help him do it.
Carney knows that Canada can't win a trade war against the U.S. So, he's embracing the same strategy as Iran and every other enemy of Trump: target the American people and aim the pain at them. He's betting on Americans to get tired enough that they put the Democrats who supported the Great Reset back in power. That's the real goal of his trade war.
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. JD Vance is holding nothing back, saying Canada is purposefully serving as a "BACKDOOR for CHINESE GOODS"
"To the PM of Canada: STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF AMERICA. IT'S OVER. WE EXPECT FAIRNESS!"
"We know Canada allows itself to be used as a BACKDOOR for Chinese goods. They treat Chinese goods more fairly than they do the goods from [America]!"
"They came in with last-minute unreasonable demands!"
"It's INSANITY."
"We've said, stop it."
Why does Canada refuse to have a real election where all their citizens can vote?
Maybe then they wouldn't have an installed, commie. globalist puppet running their country into the ground.
This is so underrated.
Canada has a PM that has absolutely no stake in Canada succeeding or failing.
Prime Minister Mark Carney risks nothing, but Canadians are risking everything.
I believe Mark Carney’s goal is to damage Canada’s economy and standard of living so badly, that Canadians beg for Universal Basic Income as a survival mechanism
Canada will be the pilot country for globalist implementation of Universal Basic Income, as a way to manage full economic collapse.
When someone asks what I am doing later and my answer is “nothing”, please understand that “nothing” is not an opening in my schedule.
“Nothing” is the plan.
