Caught this at Sydney Film Fest and it’s one of Gray’s very best; about as taut and aching a crime/family drama as he’s ever made, and features what might just be career best work from both Driver and Teller.
First trailer for Jesse Eisenberg's new musical film ‘THE DEBUT’.
• Starring Julianne Moore, Paul Giamatti, Halle Bailey and Havana Rose Liu
• Follows a shy woman who is cast in a local production of an original musical
Ari Aster's next film ‘SCAPEGOAT’ will reportedly follow a surgeon operating on a Jake Paul-inspired character who dies during surgery.
The surgeon then faces scrutiny from his wife and brother, reportedly inspired by Erika Kirk & Logan Paul.

Got greedy and did 20 instead.
I usually wouldn't include a movie as recent as Fjord, but it knocked the wind out of me at Sydney Film Fest this last Sunday; a major work from a modern master.
@arvofart Right, here you can feel the individual stitched shots breaking past their natural cutting points and twisting onto themselves in an unnatural manner.
I admire that there’s absolutely a world post-1917 where George MacKay is playing one of the Beatles but instead pivoted to leading Bonello and Mark Jenkin movies.
not to engagement bait but what do you guys think is the most exciting sequence in a movie where the camera doesn’t move. like cuts are fine i mean the camera itself
