it’s sad the legacy of this show and the perception around the finale was mostly shaped by people who either stopped liking the show or even stopped watching years before who hated/were confused by the finale. one of the most transcendent 2 hours of tv ever if you’re locked in
The finale of Lost (2004) has honestly aged way better than people gave it credit for at the time. Rewatching it now, the emotional payoff lands much harder once the pressure of solving every mystery is gone and the focus shifts back to the characters.
Matthew Fox on his long acting hiatus after #Lost:
“I felt like it was time to engage really intensely with my family. I had missed some of their childhood because I was on set all the time with ‘Lost’ and doing films.”
