It’s been in continuous publication since 1845 as the leading mainstream science magazine. Authors published in its pages have included Albert Einstein, Francis Crick, Jonas Salk, and J. Robert Oppenheimer - the intellectual giants of our time.

Today it is publishing drivel like this, advocating for affirmative action as a matter of scientific policy, and endorsing Kamala Harris for President.

Everything that was once good and prestigious, and that once served society well, is now a total joke. The Long March through our institutions is far from over.

Tajmul Haque, a local goon from Dinajpur, Bengal, who was seen in a viral video assaulting a woman in a Sharia-like court, and whose actions were defended by local TMC MLA Hamidul Rahman by saying “there are some rules in a Muslim Rashtra which were being followed,” has been arrested.

However, it looks more like he was escorted to the police station rather than arrested, similar to Sheikh Shahjahan.

This case should be taken up by a central agency; otherwise, I don't think much will happen. These self-appointed religious courts under the protection of power directly question the authority of national law. There could be many more such things going on there.
