Strengthening Arctic security together with allies is very important for Finland. This is also the purpose of the Danish-led and allied-coordinated action in Greenland.

European countries stand united. We emphasize the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty. We support Denmark and Greenland.

Dialogue with the United States continues. Tariffs would undermine the transatlantic relationship and risk a dangerous downward spiral.

We met with students and faculty of the University of Helsinki and Tampere University. We are grateful for such a warm welcome and sincere communication. We discussed Ukraine and Europe's efforts to achieve a just peace, the global security architecture, Finland's role in Ukraine's reconstruction, and the importance of everyday contributions from each citizen to finally achieve a dignified peace. Today, Ukrainian flags are waving everywhere on the streets of Helsinki, and this is a response that Ukraine is not alone.

We also had separate conversations with Ukrainian students studying at these universities and Finnish students learning our language and history at Ukrainian Studies. There should definitely be more Ukrainian Studies programs around the world.

Today, we signed Memoranda of Cooperation with the University of Helsinki and Tampere University to join the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies. In addition, the libraries at these Finnish universities—the University of Helsinki and Tampere University—have been enriched with collections of fiction—classics and works that will definitely become classics, including those by our defenders. All of this is part of the Ukrainian Bookshelf project.

Thank you for your help in defending Ukraine, for supporting our people, language and history. We deeply appreciate it.

The only way to truly stop this terror is to eliminate Russia’s ability to launch attacks. And this is absolutely realistic.

Today, Russia struck Odesa with a missile—deliberately targeting a residential area. As a result of this barbaric act, innocent lives were lost, and many people were injured—lives that could have been saved if we had the capability to destroy Russian launch systems, supply chains, arsenals, and war factories at their source.

It is not just defense; it is justice—the right way to protect our people. Any nation under the attack would act this way to defend its citizens. We must do the same, together with our partners. Russia must be left with no capacity for terror. The time to act is now.
