@barrios__x Like maybe retard. I’m a bit of a retard and fixate on those little details of the tables being off. It’s just part of my vernacular my boy. That’s how I speak.
@JaySonyalj@TheAmericanGrl So where is the “men owned bussiness” and the “white owned bussiness” if it was unimportant then. We would see a spectrum of identity’s. Not just a few.
@TheAmericanGrl Tbh when I see this I just assume it’s not good cus they are more focused on their race/gender than the product they produce. Like bro. How does these plates work better when ur a minority or a women.
@houseganghoop@OfTheDaygirl My mother (teacher) had a few students beg her to adopt them. And they would always call me sister. Felt so bad for them. Not even orphan children too. I always told them they wouldn’t like me as a sister cus I would make them do stuff if they got to silly.
@303_LB@570aa4e3a09e49f@OfTheDaygirl It’s really sad. I made it my job to catch kids up at least a little when I worked in afterschool. I may not have kids but every one of my students were my children. Even the pains in the asses. Tbh I liked that. They had the fight just not the guidance.
@570aa4e3a09e49f@OfTheDaygirl I had a 3.2 gpa. Felt good about it. Felt accomplished. Literally half my classmates had 1.2 to 1.6 gpa. School pulled some strings so they could still get money and pushed them through around 150 out of 500 kids would have actually graduated.
@OfTheDaygirl Worked with kids for many years even as a kid. (Teacher family). Worked afterschool. Best times were when I got to teach them life skills. Cus the parents didnt. So many boys I taught to fix their bikes. So many I taught to fix many things. Kids always loved it.
@StelthCy@Daishintteigo@JPetreRoberts@ShitpostRock You can’t argue with a person like this, my bud. Hes obviously mentally unwell. Better to let him scream into the void, then acknowledge it. Ik it’s sad but there’s nothing that can be done with this type of person. Let’s hope we can change that in the future.
@miglet35@ShitpostRock A lot of Latino people around me do one of two things. Usually the loving grandmas will have beautiful luscious gardens. Then the others will concrete everything in and or have dirt only. I’ve seen my towns turn into literally deserts over my lifetime.
@NielsHoven I would go over the abcs everyday too. Some kids would get close. Others just didn’t understand at all. Same with math. I hope I helped them in some way. I did a lot of flash cards too. Math and words and we practiced a lot. This wasn’t my job per se but I did it anyway.
@NielsHoven I used to do catchup work for kids. I showed them a picture and I asked them if they could write it down. It helped me gauge their minds. Then I would show them the real word and have them sound it out with me. Many didn’t even know letter sounds. It was sad.
