Northants Federation Secretary, Treasurer & H&S Lead. Proud to be a Police Officer for over 21 years, representing Officers of Northants Police. Views are my own
This is devastating news for our Force family which pales into insignificance when compared to the devastation to the family of Fuzz (as he was known). We’ve been part of this awful journey this past week, made only tolerable by the love, care and support seen. We honour him
Just had this from Muslim friend in our community where the ripples are spreading, following intense prayer around our mosques. It’s been very moving.
“Very sorry to hear that Faizaan has passed away. May Allah grant him the highest place in paradise and patience to the family”
This brings an absolute poignancy and immediacy for our Sunday pilgrimage to Coventry Cathedral for the National @Police_Memorial when the police service gathers to remember officers who’ve died. Fuzz will be remembered and his family in our thoughts and prayers
'The service never fails to move me’, says chair of Northamptonshire Police Federation Sam Dobbs, who attended this year’s National Police Memorial Day in Glasgow.

Looking forward to accompanying our nominee Matt to #PoliceBravery - an event which always invokes a huge sense of pride in the best in policing from across country. Big thanks to @PoliceMutual and the team @PFEW_HQ who work so hard to make it all happen
Sad yet proud to be at Kettering today with @LottePateman to support family & police family of 35yr-old @NorthantsPolice colleague tragically lost to cancer. From stepdad’s poem: “You never got the chance to use your blue light training but you lived life with the blue light on”
On Monday we will launch our Pay and Morale Survey 2023.
The findings will provide strategically important evidence to support our ongoing Pay campaign, calling for fair remuneration for officers, and an independent pay mechanism.

@PFEW_HQ is calling on all Chief Constables to stop using non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) which silence the victim and hinder any learning. @DurhamPolice are the only force who have stopped. @CCScottChilton can @HantsPolice be the 2nd? #PFEW23#VAWG
Great pics of tremendous moving service for me, @LottePateman ACC Tuckley & all present - made more special by the Welsh touches, the superb liturgy, the stories and the symbolism in the poignancy & solemnity. Thx to the organisers, to @New_Theatre and @swpolice for the welcome
It’s a privilege, with @LottePateman, ACC Ash Tuckley & @PFEW_HQ colleagues from across country to be part of the 800 police family gathered in Cardiff for today’s annual Police Memorial Service @npmdUK in remembrance of colleagues who’ve died: a Roll which sadly gets ever longer
Productive meeting with @NorthantsOPFCC@LottePateman & CI Murray as we challenged him about much-needed improvements to working conditions at the dilapidated Campbell Square & Weston Favell police stations. All areas visited - including ones the Commissioner doesn’t usually see!
Police officers don’t have access to industrial rights the rest of us take for granted - more than a quarter of them now can’t even afford to eat every day & nearly one in ten have used a foodbank to support themselves & their families. Why are UK news shows not reporting this?
