I never shared production photos from Escape to Wonderland!! My debut play as a writer with my theatre company @whimsicotheatre, and I am still so so proud of what we created💜
Between Cinderella, The Jungle Book and Pete’s Dragon, there was a brief moment when we all wondered, “Wait a minute... what if these are all going to be good now?"
It was the most expensive animated movie Disney made at the time, took a decade to make, and flopped when it was released causing layoffs and making Walt not want to focus on feature animation anymore and move into live-action. The high cost and flop resulted the cheaper animation of the 60s and 70s, and Disney didn’t produce another “Princess” movie until 1989. It was the movie that killed the golden age of Disney animation.
it rocks that they’re putting out a Star Wars movie very soon and it’s not just called something normal. it has words that many (if not most) people can’t spell. elite marketing from the team at Lucas Film, as always
I’m an outcast in film circles because I still hold the heretical belief that someday, somewhere, if the stars line up just right, and a director has the vision, and the studio gives the go-ahead, someone will make a movie out of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein
sucks that rich kids are basically the only ones who get to make art these days because they really have the least to say. i dont wanna hear from someone whose trauma was a bad haircut i wanna hear from the person whose parent is in jail for murder
@AlexGodofsky Pirates 1 was released around the same time as Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy. One of them was created to be slop and it definitely wasn't Pirates.
i cant describe how unbelievably angry i am that the only line on shelves fully commiting to being FASHION dolls besides bratz are the white woman disney adult dolls
yes, yes, I have to say it, it might be, maybe, the best season of the four. great chemistry, it doesn't feel repetitive, some unnecessary secondary characters but they don't distract you from the main couple. I LOVE IT.

Obviously Bridgerton has never been a serious and drama-riddled affair, but I'm really loving how playful Benedict and Sophie's season has been so far. It's just really nice to watch🥺
