Last week in English, KS3 studied WW1 poetry by Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen on the run up to Remembrance Day.

Earlier this week, Year 8 and Year 9 pupils participated in the Big Write of the Week. Pupils worked collaboratively to write a thrilling piece of fiction they titled 'Don't Turn Round'.

Pupils were challenged to design a book cover for their story - aren't they fantastic?!

This week, classes 8L, 8S, 9L and 9S have been participating in the Big Write of the Week

Students learned different creative writing techniques, including how to narrate a story and how to describe a scene

Their story is set in an eerie, lifeless cemetery - DON'T. TURN. ROUND.
