I just took part in the #BigPlasticCount, UK’s biggest investigation into household plastic waste. Here’s what I found really happens to my plastic waste:
♻️10% recycled
🌍15% sent abroad
🔥49% burnt
⛰️26% sent to landfill
This is shocking, right?! @Jochurchill_MP@pow_rebecca
Heading to shelter several times is our daily/nightly routine! I met representative of #UNICEF's top ten largest #government resource partner in last nights shelter I take the opportunity to thank for their support #foreverychild update @UNICEF_UA activities #togetherwecan#peace
3 months after #RollyPH and #UlyssesPH hit Albay, UNICEF is there to this day providing clean water + hygiene and sanitation essentials because every child has the right to a clean and safe environment, especially after emergencies. #ForEveryChild https://t.co/xrVgfwQPU8
WATCH: UP College of Public Health hosted a webinar focusing on #WASH as part of the “Public #Health in the Time of #COVID19 and the New Normal” webinar series with @WHOPhilippines @unicefphils @UPCPH @LSHTM https://t.co/k1xujBM0D6
We're in Albay and Catanduanes now with @unphilippines, @IOMPhilippines & @WFP_Philippines to visit children+families most affected by #RollyPH/#UlyssesPH and assess our integrated humanitarian response. Through @UNCERF, we continue to support the recovery of affected communities
Success of humanitarian operations largely relies on moving from standalone interventions to more integrated, interdisciplinary multi-partner responses. Congrats to @unicefphils for contributing to “convergence” approach in typhoon #Rolly @UNCERF operation!!!!
3rd of the annual UNICEF-GOP workplan reviews completed (over 2 days - TGIF😀!). Thanks to our colleagues @DILGPhilippines for the active partnership - looking forward to our continuing efforts on behalf of Filipino children in 2021! #ForEveryChild#Water#Sanitation#Hygiene
Returning to 'normal' is unacceptable because 'normal' was never good enough, especially for the most marginalized and disadvantaged children. We have come a long way for the children of the Philippines, but we need to do more.

Almost 2 months since typhoon #UlyssesPH hit the country and triggered the worst flooding in decades in Cagayan Valley, we at UNICEF continue to provide technical assistance to affected communities in installing water bladders, temporary latrines & usage of water testing kits.
Kicking off the new year with discussions on the #data sources, validity and interpretation for @JMPWASH 2021 Report. Last time we did this there was ☕️🍰🍪 involved - I miss those days 😋 #SDG6#ForEveryChild#water#sanitation#hygiene
